Sirius, Sydney’s most iconic Brutalist building and a landmark of the Rocks’ skyline, is intimately connected to the character of the harbourfront.
The building was designed by architect Tao Gofers in 1979 and has since undergone a complete transformation, reimagined by architectural firm, BVN. By retaining the original concrete structure, upgrading systems to contemporary standards, and reviving rooftop gardens and surrounds, Sirius significantly reduces its carbon footprint and establishes itself as an exemplar for sustainable urban redevelopment.
The building is complemented by a new pedestrian link connecting Cumberland Street and Gloucester Walk – welcoming residents, tenants, and the wider community to its reimagined grounds.
Property Location
In the heart of The Rocks and Circular Quay precinct, the Sirius building enjoys harbourside walks with close proximity to Barangaroo, Walsh Bay theatre precinct, celebrated restaurants and the city centre.
