Towering above Martin Place the complex epitomises placemaking, with an unrivalled array of amenity and public spaces for staff and their visitors. Floorplates are column free with the most levels boasting exceptional 360 degree views across Sydney.
Peter Ferguson led the leasing campaigns at the MLC Centre continuously between 2005 and 2017. During this period two major vacancy periods occurred, resulting in the leasing of around 45,000sqm to new tenants.
Most recently the backfilling of the former Freehills’ tenancy and other floors comprising around 30,000sqm has been a major focus for both Peter Ferguson and Julian Grosvenor working in partnership with the then joint owners The GPT Group and QIC.
During a challenging leasing environment between 2013 and 2015, the task was further impacted by both a major facade restoration program and a complete redevelopment of the food court and retail areas.
The key turning point in the campaign occurred once a full floor refurbishment was completed with a marketing/presentation experience installed to best communicate the transformation taking place.
“With the right tools, an engaging story and presentation was developed and a robust leasing period followed 17 floors of new tenants (large and small) were attracted over an 18 month period.
