On Friday the Cadigal team along with over 1,800 members and peers of the property industry attended The Property Industry Foundation’s premier networking event, the Annual Charity Yachting Regatta.
The event raised, so far, over $400,000 net in addition to raising $30,000 through event raffles at the sophisticated jazz soiree afterward – all to build homes for homeless young people.
Rosemary Smithson, Chief Executive Officer, Property Industry Foundation, said the event is so popular each year because people want to help homeless young people – and it is a fantastic opportunity to network.
“The support we get from the industry for this event is phenomenal,” she said. “Because of its size, people know they will be able to develop business connections and discuss new business opportunities.”
There is always a lot of competition between companies in the sailing event for awards and place honours and this year was no different.
This year over 100 boats sailed in the event, Cadigal sailed on Soindika and placed third in division 3, while Charter Hall (sailing on Wild Oats) won the Shemara Cup.
This prize is awarded each year to the yacht that completes the course in the fastest time. As always a great day was had by all. Thank you to the team at the Property Industry Foundation for yet another great event.
